Nothing like being wide awake at 4AM, i woke up thinking about the talk we had with Jeremy last night and how far he’s come in being a big part of our family. Almost from the start of when he moved in with us we have sat and talked with him before he falls asleep to talk to us about anything he wants. Probably one of the best ideas Aaron ever had to open the lines of communication between us all. He asked us last night if we ever feel like we need a break from him and to see Aaron explain the love we have for him and we actually miss him when he’s not here as he’s just naturally a part of us. It turns out one of his friends made a comment to him about giving us some space sometimes and he didn’t have to call us every single night he’s not with us before he goes to bed. Before he fell asleep we let him know he never has to feel he’s a bother to us, ever! At that point he got the biggest smile on his face, gave us a kiss and hug and fell asleep. I swear we was still smiling in his sleep when we quietly walked out of his room and gave each other a long hug, knowing we not only changed his life but how much he’s changed ours in such an amazing way. We are two of the luckiest dads ever, getting to share his life with him, and now in less then 4 months, we get to add to that with another amazing son! 💙❤️❤️💙
